Are library has everything from cds to movies and books because we can order them from different librarys. They said every library can do that, so why don't people use it instead of using illegal things that gets them in trouble? I'd rather do things legal so my record is clean, but why would people rather do illegal things?

Also, I'm not saying I copy them even though I don't, I'm just saying if you want to borrow a movie you can request it and they'll send it to you and You don't have to bother with that stuff. I avoid illegal stuff.

also our library has it's own internet site, so it's the same as downloading. There you avoid illegal things in the same time or faster. I will not copy them, I just watch and listen and if I like it then I go buy it because what's the use of getting a movie that you've only seen previews of, and not know if you like it or not, and if you don't then you end up selling it or have a movie that you never watch? I think it's just better this way, but I know some library's may not have this.

Computers and the Internet are great inventions and have brought the world closer together through communications. This is definitely a good thing. The problem is that people know longer take the time to read during their leisure time. People get on the Internet to play games, chat, and shop in their spare time. * As a result people are slowly becoming what I call shut ins. That is to say they are spending more and more time locked away on their computers and less and less involved with outside activities. This is bad. Libraries are not just a place of books now. Many have computers, movies, tapes, and movies. * The Internet offers a quick way to find materials to use for reports and things, but you never know about the information there. Wicpedia is constantly wrong in many of it's entry's on the Internet. In a library you can find true references to work with, and most often many many references. It's a place I still go.

Why spend hours in the library when you can find what you need in minutes on the Internet?

I'm not sure what illegal things you're speaking of, but I believe people use the internet more often over public libraries is because of the easy access the www. provides us with.

Plus, come on.... Google, duh!
