I am reading THREE books. One by Dean Koontz (Brother Odd), one by Frank Peretti (House) and the autobiography of Dr. Billy Graham (Just As I Am). I read one for a while then read another. This has been my habit as long as I can remember.

I am not in the 'middle' but just 11 pages in...the book is called The Farm, by Richard Benson and is the story of one family and the English Countryside. The book has 'grabbed' my interest, even though I am only on page 11. I am reading it along with 6 other members of my local book club and we are to meet next month to discuss what we like and don't like about this book.

I'm reading an Anne Rule book at the moment. She does wonderfully evocative true crime books. This one is called "In the Name of Love", and is 4 stories in one...all murders committed in the name of love.
As a gift a couple of months ago, my youngest daughter hit a second-hand bookstore on the way home from work, and chose two full bags of books for me to read. Since I had just started re-reading my Tom Clancy "Jack Ryan" series I didn't get into those books then.
But now it is like a treasure trove. I am choosing to just stick my hand into a bag (which I have stored under my bed) and pull out the next book without looking. The first one was a science fiction book. This one true crime. The possibilities for the rest are endless, and I am looking forward to enjoying every word of them.
(I think the term "voracious reader" was coined for people like me.)

Well just lately I've started reading a book my hubby checked
out, called, The Mystical Life of Jesus, by Silvia Browne. She's the famous psychic. She has done alot of research on
the New Testament and alot of what she breaks down to easily understand, we've already found to be true with our own
research. I just can't buy into her 'spirit guide' thing. And I'm
not convinced of her psychic powers. But it's interesting.
I normally read historical or biographical books, and I've
read several Mary Higgens Clark books.

Right now I am reading a book by Amy Tan called The Hundred Secret Senses. I've not read anything by her before and I really like her style and her sense of humor. She also weaves a bit of fantasy into the story via one of the main characters. Yes, I am enjoying it. It is a real change for me as I usually read stuff by Henry James....a real change, lol....

Yes I'm reading In A Land Of Plenty by Tim Pears, it's very good. It's about the trials and tribulations of a family starting from about the 50's and I'm into the late seventies at the moment. It deals with the problems and lives of siblings and their parents and their very different personalities and outlook on life from childhood to adulthood. Worth reading!
