For a regular citizen, it would be assault, and class c or b misdermeanor in most states. If the person were injured by the pie, it would become a class a misdermeanor.

Now, Bush is a public servant, and doing that so to someone like that raises the offense to a felony.

If you want to get arrested, just display a sign anywhere near him saying he's wrong. George Bush's so-called 'free speech zones' were established to make sure you don't have the ability to display signs that might upset him - so good luck getting anywhere near him with a pie!

And no, I don't think throwing pies, eggs, tomatoes or anything else are a legitimate form of protest -though I would like my free speech rights back please.

Don't worry yourself sick, you won't be charged with anything, you'll be dead!

And the good thing is: Someone in you family will be making funeral arrangements for you, so you won't have to worry about that either!

Assault and battery, same as with any citizen against any citizen.

Rightfully so.
Seems legitimate dissent and protest has become "criminal activity and sedition".

Not for me.
