I wouldn't worry too much about looking like a tourist. I'd say you should drink a lot of water to keep hydrated in such a hot place. Try getting as best of a job as you can get, and try not to act like you've come from a different place. I hope I helped you. Good Luck!

just make sure you make friends everywhere and tell everyone that you live in egypt, they will give you better prices, but you will always pay the skin tax my friend lol, i'm egyptian in philippines and it goes the same way here, but i can make it better my own way
NOTE: learn arabic, at least few words for daily use this will give you an advantage

My brother just went there in August to teach. Only thing I might suggest is be aware that they do not pasteurize or homogenize milk products and beer

always wash your hands after handling the money as the term "there are no pockets in a shroud" means that litterally egyption men keep their money in their underpants.
