I thought this was from the first or second Star Wars movie with Luke being trained, but I saw them again recently and apparently not...I remember there was some kid who was the hero, and his mentor or whatever gave him a magic stone. The hero thinks it's stupid so he throws it away, but later he falls in a lake and the surface turns to glass and he is trapped until someone who had picked up the stone touches it to the water and allows him to escape...I asked this before and people suggested "Legend" with Tom Cruise but that's definitely not it.

That's the Ewok Adventure. there were two of these movies, but I think that you're referring to thee first one. It;s a Star Wars type movie (made by George Lucas and in the Star Wars setting). The main characters were th Ewoks and the two humans Cyndol and Maize (The guy trapped under water) who were looking for their parents after they were abducted by a giant.

Yeah, it's not legend.. there is a scene where he dives under and the top of the water freezes, but it has nothing to do with a stone.. he just barely manages to break it..
I'd say they are correct about ewoks... sounds familiar..

i think it is call The Ewoks...it sorta part of star wars, but different story line...i think.

Jeez... that's frustrating. I remember the movie. I think it was a "made for TV" movie, but I can't remember the name.
