I am running TuneUp utilities 2007 it has a number of tools you can try and its free for 30 days, i ve got it 20 something days it has my machine running top of the line.Try microsoft free scan to check for any malware.

go to www.ccleaner.com and download and run their utility. it eliminates junk in your box.
Also try defragging your drive. a lot of people say this doesn't work, and they are right, but some times it does. also, try upping the virtual memory from right clicking manage on My computer.

KK..There a lot of things you can do.First,download mcafee site advisor.Just google it and get it.Then,get spybot and ad aware 2007.And get an antivirus like avast or trend micro pccilinn.(I know i spelled it wrong).The,you're set!

Have you defrag you hardisk?
Have you run a anti-virus? ex: Avast
Have you run a anti-spyware? ex: Ad-aware, spybot
