and patents the idea, raises capital, develops an adversising campaign, develops a distribution network, leases a factory, hires someone to design and make the machines that will be used to make the car, works with engineers to come up with an efficient manufacturing process that is simple and straightforward and involves very simple tasks being performed by the factory workers, and then hires workers to do these basic tasks, the same tasks that they would otherwise do at a competing plant but because there is no one more plant they get paid a little more than they otherwise would, and the car is a big hit and its inventor, his investors that took a huge risk on the new car, and the engineers make a huge profit......

Did they make it "on the backs of the workers?"

But cory who defines "exploiting and abusing" if not the workers, thus as long as they have a choice, all they have to do is quit. And yes I know your answer will be "that's easier said than done" but then isn't the answer to that more job creation????

No; they made it off their minds. The workers got paid and they wouldn't have if it were not for the minds.

BTW they are releasing 10,000 cars that run on compressed air in India late this year but they can't be imported to the USA because they are "glued" together and thats against our "import" regulations.

Check all the levels of fluids when possible, then again I always get an oil change when the car indicates it to me, so the levels are always correct. I only take my car to places I've read reviews about and know that the service is legit and nothing is forgotten. Although I drive a minivan, I've always used Silver or mid-grade gasoline and while I don't always go to the big brand gas stations I make sure the octane level is to my satisfaction. Otherwise I'll drive further looking for good octane. I don't do this every time, but sometimes I'll allow my car a minute or two to sit just after starting the car. I never run the car too hard and if I travel cross country I'll take a few stops to allow the car to cool. (Not sure if that's necessary) Once every 6 months have the tires rotated and checked. I've got a Honda and I'll tell you over the last 20 years with them I've spent thousands of dollars less money on Honda maintenance then on my Chevy cars.

Making it "on the backs of the workers" refers to exploiting and abusing people to make a profit.

But the car you describe has existed for a while -- the most practical application is the liquid-hydrogen-burning car currently in use in some European countries -- the exhaust is water vapor.

Some 6000 zero-emissions Air Cars are scheduled to hit Indian streets in August of 2008.

India, because that country does what's good for their people and does not allow themselves to be controlled by Uber corps.

I guess that means Bush will declare India an "Enemy Terrorist Nation" next.

Not as long as the workers can feed themselves and their families, pay their bills, aren't stressed out, and have a little time off now and then.
