I work on the railway and have recently been reading the case of a 13 year old girl taking a short cut to Tesco and it is such a sad waste of life. The problem is there are the kids who do not realise the danger and those that do and just ignore that to get a pat on the back from their mates.
Thats all well and good until the lad sluips and gets electrocuted and the parents are up in arms sayiong there is not enough warning. Big question where are the parents they are failing if a child is out doing that sorry but that is what I think.

Maybe to see who can escape the quickest when they hear a train approaching.
Or because they think they'll get a "buzz" from seeing a train having an accident which may occur if they succeed in placing something on the line.

Same reason that people go on roller coaster rides, it's the thrill of it, though heaven knows it's completely brainless.
