I want to attach a desktop printer to my laptop so I can print from my laptop. Does anyone know how to do it?

If you are running XP and your printer connects through a USB port, just plug the printer into the laptop, XP should see the "new hardware" and install a driver for it. If XP does not contain a driver for your particular printer you may have to install the driver from the disk that came with your printer.

is your desktop printer connected in usb?
does your laptop have usb connection?

Just plug it in and install the drivers for it.
