I'm going to skip the obvious political answers to this one.

Adjectives - lacking self-awareness, delusional, misinformed, obtuse, arrogant, illogical, closed (or closed-minded), shortsighted, self-important, self-absorbed, self-righteous, self-centered, clueless, hypocritical, unintentionally ironic, myopic, dictatorial

nouns - many offensive words would name the person who is thus mistaken, but hypocrite comes to mind first if they expect behaviors of others that they do not expect of themselves. A few also more printable - dictator, demagogue (implies that he will say or do anything to convince others of his rightness)

Edit - thought of another adjective - egocentric
