I just put in BF2 so I can re-install it.

I un-installed it a month ago.

Anyways, I put the CD in and my computer just simply isn't reading the CD.

Its acting as if nothing is in the drive.

Is it fried or something?

Can anyone help?

Have you tried using other cd's? If so and they work, it could be your specific cd that your using. If your other cd's don't work in the computer you will need to try and update the driver, uninstall and reinstall your reading/burning software (if you have any). If your used to looking inside your computer, see if any connectors are loose between your cd drive and your motherboard. If all else fails take to a pro computer shop, or buy an external cd drive

There are two main cords that connect to a CD drive in a computer. One cord is the P4 connector that supplies power to the CD drive. If your drive will eject and close properly than this cord is attached and this is not your problem.
The other cord that attaches to a CD drive is the IDE cable which carries all the information between the CD drive and the computer's motherboard. If power is supplied to the drive, but you aren't able to see the drive in MY COMPUTER, my bet is that this cable has become detached from the drive or the motherboad OR you have a faulty cable. IDE cables are rather cheap and can be found at any electronics store. If you have had your computer serviced recently, the last thing to check would be the jumper settings on the drive to make sure the jumpers are configured properly. If you have not had any work done to the computer, jumpers should not be an issue.

have you tried another cd? if not check the cd you are using for finger prints if so then wipe off with a soft cloth of t-shirt. also if you have tried other cd's and same thing then the cd rom could have dust on it you might want to buy some can air to blow into it (do not shake the can) if that doesn't do it get another cd rom or try to take it back.

Right click on my computer, select properties, you should see a ? mark next to the CD ROM. Double click it and go through the prompts of adding a driver by letting Windows select it.

Does your cd drive show in "MY Computer"?
Does your cd recognize other disks? If not, try replacing the drive.
