Tourists:Summer(in Florida)- short shorts, tank tops, sweating a lot, sunglasses on, bad sunburn, hat
Locals: Summer- can be wearing pants in 100 degree weather, tan, not too fat, not sweating profusely, and doesn't get lost trying to find the beach.

Tourists: Winter- Pants, long sleeved shirts, heavy jacket
Locals: Winter- Shorts, short sleeved shirts, maybe a light jacket, at the beach even in this weather

sometimes...you can always tell when my dad is a tourist,he has the camera around his neck, wears stripped pants and checkered shirt with a bright wide belt and white shoes...He loed to dress this way when we would be on vacation...

They will have a backpack/daypack on their backs and walking sandals on their feet - possibly even knee high socks and khaki shorts...... and they would be holding a map upside down talking in a foreign language or in a different accent!
