I am building a temporary structure and need a PVC elbow with a 3 way connector for the corners, looks like this:

the home depots/lowes dont carry it since they carry pvc connectors for plumbing projects and this is more of a building/furniture project. I need a local store in NJ that might carry this since i need it in the next day or two and cant wait for delivery
thanks

You are right that that is not a plumbing fitting. D.I.Y Doc is usually correct, but you won't find that at a plumbing supply. In California, those fittings are often sold at swapmeets, since they are used by vendors for awnings. I would try to find a swapmeet supply, or maybe an RV supply

Certainly not an UNCOMMON fitting, but likely used more in PVC frame type furniture. For plumbing the fitting makes little sense; given the configuration; and the intent of plumbing equating to water FLOW. It's truly as boggling as a "T" connector would be in a plumbing application.

I don't live in NJ, but have to assume that there are Plumbing supply houses within access to you; who might; at the very least; advise you. As much as I tout both HD and Lowes, they don't always have everything I want either.

======= may I suggest the you fit the pipe elbows and T parts to the pipe before you leave the store .. I realize that the clerk that checked you out should have asked if the parts were as intended (((well, it is such a crazy world these days that you just have to know more than necessary to DIY even when shopping ...)))) it is the inside of the elbow that accepts the pipe and it does get confusing ,,, by the way if you do not know about the ""PURPLE PVC PIPE GLUE"" -- it is water-resistant when gluing the parts and it is quick drying ... better to leave the water off and no pressure to the new glued pipe for at least 2 hours ((if possible))... those elbows and other parts all have a size stamped into the pvc and the pipe is marked ,too ..............
