1) Sound of Music
2) Moulon Rouge
3) tie between: Chicago, Oklahoma, Cabaret, Funny Girl

All time biggest bombs: Camelot, Man Of La Mancha, The Wiz

Mediocre: West Side Story (problems with dubbed voices), My Fair Lady (Audry did a very good job, but Julie Andrews should have had the lead), 7 Brides for 7 Brothers...good choreography, but songs were just not to my liking. Fidler on the Roof...perhaps is was just me that didn't think this was a good one.

Musicals that were fun, but stupid: all musicals in the 40's...songs thrown into the plot for no reason, all Fred Astaire musicals, anything with Micky Rooney and the backyard musicals!

Musical that was very hard to sit through: Hello Dolly...the overblown choreography ruined this musical.

Musical that stood on its own with or without music: Wizzard of Oz.

My number one favorite (and I watch it over and over again) is A Chorus Line. Next would be The Sound of Music. The third would be a toss up between South Pacific and Westside Story.
