If you take a good look at a truthful history book (or if you know someone old enough to remember), then you know that not everyone agreed with the hippie movement (and the psychedelic rock and hard rock) that was being generated by the young people at the time. A lot of the scene was mostly liberal thinking individuals.

Would you classify rap as having a similar problem that rock had? Or do you think race plays a part in why some don't listen to it?

.....better yet, do you think most die hard rock fans are aware that rock was once hated by some just as rap is today?

Rap is not singing, it's talking to the same rhythm ad nauseum. It's BORING!

I like a melody, I like singers who can SING, I like beautiful lyrics.
