I think you mean the blue bar at the side or bottom of the screen you use to drag the page up or down if there is a lot of information to be seen.

The slide bar only appears on the right of your screen if you open a document of any kind that is too big for the screen. It is a grey bar, and you can click and drag on it to move up and down the document. It also appears at the bottom sometimes, if the document is too wide.

Slide bars are normally used to control Audio Volume, it is the control to either raise or lower the volume. depending on the software and hardware on your particular computer will determine where and how many you have.

is this for real, a slide bar?
slide bar is there so you can view all the imformation on a page, your monitor is not big enough to view all the imformation you need to view

basically a bar which let's you navigate a page either sideways or vertically
