Why are people having to move out of their housing for the London Olympics? Pleeeease help!!!?

Where is this happening? Why is it happening? Any particularly useful websites would be great!!! thank you!

In order to host the Olympics, new venues will have to be built. Many cities use the Olympics to update their infrastructure (e.g., transportation systems, etc). All of this has to go somewhere. In order to create something new -- something old needs to be replaced. Some housing will be destroyed.

I suspect that London will minimize these problems -- but some people will have to move.
