I think it is very important to believe in a higher power. Whatever that may be to you. Everyone has different beliefs. I think that God is happy when we believe in him, treat others with kindness and respect. To answer your question why does God only talk to people that believe in him? Well you answered that question for yourself. How can God talk to you if you don't believe in him? You can't hear if you don't believe he is there. I hope this helped. I am not the know all tell all. These are my personal beliefs.

Good question.
In my opinion, a person's beliefs or ultimate motives have little or nothing to do with holding him responsible for his actions. People commit violent crimes because the devil tells them to through their neighbor's dog. For other people, it's a god that tells them - one way or another. In either case, perhaps the person isn't morally responsible for his acts, but he is certainly directly responsible and must be held accountable - whether it be with psychiatric treatment or simple incarceration - either way, he must be kept out of the general population if we are to remain civilized.

No offense my friend, but you are severly misguided in your thinking. God clearly spells it out in the Bible that we aren't supposed to follow a particular "religion" but that we are supposed to follow one Man. That Man is his son Jesus Christ.

As for only talking to people who believe in Him, Jesus made it clear to everyone that he WAS God. The great missionary Paul did not believe in Christ at one time. In fact, he did everything he could to stop the spread of Christ's teachings, which sometimes included murder. Christ spoke to him one fateful day and Paul was miraculously converted ( read chapter 9 of the Book of Acts in the Bible).
