Most people have poor taste in music these days... There's still a lot of cool musicians out there, they are just not on the radio nor on television... Try looking up Brendan Perry on You Tube... Or Ely Guerra... That might be a start... The true definition of the term rock is an influence of multiple musical structures - something that happens very little now in modern popular music...

When their personal life and personal habits gets henpicked by tabloids. It's the cost of fame and not just from being a rock star. In many cases, drugs, alcohol, money, inefficient agent, relationship problems, greedy record labels, and bad publicity all play a big part in a failed rock star.
