Empty, and run the engine untill it dies to get ALL the gas out of it.

Empty, even with "stabilizer", fuel sours VERY quickly. PLUS, if you store gasoline in the basement, there is a great potential for "EXPLOSION", any gasoline vapors that might seep out (Make that WILL seep out), will go down low to the floor, then the furnace kicks on (SPARK), or somebody turns a light on, and you'll be the first person in space without a rocket, seriously, IT'S an ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN, "VERBOTTEN", DON'T DO IT !

NEVER store any type of fuel in your basement. fire or explosion hazard.
