Do you think soldiers who were fighting the enemy during Ramadan should have fast or breakfasting while fighting?

Already Sadat told the leaders in the operation room to break their fasting. The question here is about the soldiers in the field and fighting.

the soldiers refused to break their fast though they were allowed to do so.
the most wonderful fact about those soldiers was that they were filled with faith in God . they cried , Allah wi Akbar as they crossed the canal and the Barleiv Line.
they were fighting with a great spirit . what they cared for was regaining Egyptian lands .
they succeeded owing to their faith and bravery.

If leaders break thier fasting so the soldiers must do that it's Logical

If I'm fighting the enemy and I might be killed, then I want to die fasting. wouldn't you?

muslims didn't breakfast in 3'azwet badr .

yes they can break their fasting , it's allowed in war cases
