What do/ have you gotten as presents for you lovers christmas and what would you get a 5yr little girl and a 4 year old little boy? I have no experience in this area and I'm looking for help from parents or grandparents.

Big S. kids that age love crafts and crayons and anything that can and will make a big mess and them dirty. Take them out on a shopping trip and watch their eyes light up at the various things they see. That way you will have a for sure idea of what they would really like for Christmas.

You can find suitable toys for kids if you look at the packages they come in. toys are marked by age group. since you know the kids, perhaps you might find something you feel they would be interested in? You could also ask them what they like to play with next time you see them? This might help.
As far as your guy friend, consider his hobbies and interests... and think about what he may like or need.
