Part of jouney undertaken by taxi
=1-(3/8+3/5)
=40/40 -15/40-24/40
=1/40
Therefore distance travelled by taxi
=1/40 of 320 km
=1/40*320
=8 km

3/8 + 3/5 =
15/40 + 24/40 + 39/40 is how much he traveled.

39/40 x 320/1 = 12480/40 or 312/1 or 312km.

he traveled 312km. 320 - 312 = 8km.

the tourist traveled 8km by taxi

3/8 of 320 km = 120 km

3/5 of 320 km = 192

So, distance travelled by taxi = 320 - (120 + 192) = 320 - 312 = 8 km

He travelled 8 km by taxi.

3/8= 15/40
3/5=24/40

15/40 +24/40 = 39/40
which means he traveled 39/40 by both train and bus, and remaining 1/40 was traveled by taxi
then multiply 1/40 x320
