I will be draining my hot tub soon to clean it out and fill it up with fresh water. We haven't received much rain lately so I'd like to empty the hot tub onto my lawn but I don't know if the hot tub chemicals will harm the grass. Any thoughts?

Actually make sure your ph is as neutral as possible 7.4. Let the chlorine or bromine level drop. to less then 1.

If you are using Baquaspa or something similar then don't do it.

Next make sure you also use a shop vac to clear/blow out the 10 gallons of water still in your tub. Just in case the temp drops we do not want to hear about any crcked pumps or lines.

Probably won't hurt as long as the water is cool and you haven't added any chemicals for a while.

You will probably notice a good effect. My grass where I backflushed my pool was very green.
