Check the list of "help" that US sends to Israel. First of all it's all about weapons, not food or medicines. And it's 10 times the money sent to anywhere else

Good question, the answer may be because of a few individuals on top of the food chain get elected there because they are servants of that tiny state. Money, friends, and exposure is what gets presidents elected.
I am sure 90% of the people can care less about what happens there.

Your question is so biased I wondered if I should comment on it. I decided that I had to. The United States is a republic. That means majority rules, however the minority still has a voice. We use that idea pretty much in our foreign affairs. Israel does not make us their servant, anymore than the other countries we help. We do as much or more for Taiwan, Columbia, and others around the globe. Do you watch the news, read the papers, check out different sources on the web? Or do you have one opinion that is right and that is all there is.

Israel is the biggest military industrial complex in the middle east for U.S. interests. It's all about triangulating strategic military force on the most oil rich land on Earth.
It's easy to rally support for Israel too because of religious superstitions. They think the Jews are God's chosen people and if they don't support Israel, God will punish them forever and ever.
Guess who started that saying that "The Jews are God's Chosen people"? It was the Jews of course! Isn't that a coincidence? I don't hate Jews. I don't worship them either.

Your remarks are libelous.
And totally inaccurate. In fact, Israeli officials have been consistently skeptical about the main policy innovation of the Bush era: the democracy agenda. One senior Bush administration official recently said, "The Israelis are generally convinced that Arab cultures are particularly resistant to democracy; that democracy is likely to lead to victories by the Muslim Brotherhood."
You remind me of a recent book that is similarly libelous.
Walt and Mearsheimer are careful to say they are not anti-Semitic or conspiracy-minded. But their main inference -- that Israel, the Israel lobby and Jewish neoconservatives called the shots for Bush, Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Stephen Hadley, Colin Powell and Donald Rumsfeld -- is not only rubbish, it is dangerous rubbish. As "mainstream" scholars, Walt and Mearsheimer cannot avoid the historical pedigree of this kind of charge. Every generation has seen accusations that Jews have dual loyalties, promote war and secretly control political structures.
These academics may not follow their claims all the way to anti-Semitism. But this is the way it begins. This is the way it always begins.

Hmm... The argument that America is controlled by Israel is essentially the same as saying that the Zionists control America which is the same as saying the Jews control America.
Yes, that is anti Semitic, your love of the Coen Bros. and Koenigberg's comedies notwithstanding.

Oh, please! Do you consider us the servants of all the countries we send foreign aid to? We send aid to people because we get something back, whether it be in the form of the only friend in an area of enemies or favorable access to oil or an improved impression for other countries. We are no more Israel's servant than Mexico's. Now if you want to look at who we really are in thrall to, check out China.

The greatest leaders are servants of mankind. Look at Jesus, He was called a King and is still worshiped to this day.
America may serve the world, but you are mistaken if you think we are led by the nose. We serve willingly and could stop whenever we choose. We do what we feel is right.
