Password Program/Code?

Is it possible to get or create a program that I could use to get though passwords?
I have many problems at home and need to find an easier way of getting through passwords and ones I’ve forgotten.
I can get through the windows logon one but is there any free password crakers that I could use at home?
What about creating your own in C++ ?

The problem is that a program will run thru all of the possible answers. All dates, All words in the dictionary, all combinations of letters. On even the fastest computer that will take a long LONG time.

You are better off guessing on the things that you might have used for a password.
