My field of expertise!! I`m a undertaker, in the UK, I don`t know what area or country your in but most countries more or less follow the same set of guidelines. you said you were a child hood friend so if you can find out the birth address or you know what town they were in wen they died you can contact the local cemetaries or crematoriums, or even the coroners office . you`ll need the mothers married name at the time and address if possible at the time of your friends death. If you already know the cemetary where she is but dont know whereabouts the same applies, go to the cemetary or authority who owns or maintains the cemetary, with her name and date of birth,if poss?? and mother or fathers name and address at the time.
If none of the above applies, get intouch with the local papers where she lived wen she died and place an advert in the memorium column or even ask them to place write up in the paper itself.

So think logically, Full name, date of birth, address if poss at the time of her death, your areas coroners office will be able to guide you or a local funeral director though they might charge you a fee.
hope this helps.

Hello Kirsty,
First of all I am sorry about your friend, you really must have loved her to be still feeling your loss of her, go along to the local 'Parks and cemetaries' office the address is in the phone book, and tell them the full name of your dear departed friend and if your friends final resting place in that town, they will have a record of where, she is resting, and even a plan of the cemetary too, so they will tell or show you where she rests..God love and bless you and I hope you find her, ..............Tony M

You could conduct a record search for the person by their name through an online service. The following website offers death record services--- http://www.publicpeoplefinder.com/

Go to the court house in the state where she passed away.

check with the newspaper in her hometown, get the obituaries from that date or near it, find out what funeral home handled her funeral, and call them.... it may be listed as to what cemetery in the paper, too, but if not, the funeral home will know and be able to point you where you need to go.... best of luck....

If you know his home number or parents try to contact them
they can help you . Or try to find out through those who might have known him or his parents.
