Eat food so that your Serotonin is stimulated to pick you up. Music stimulate you to secrete Dopamine which is a joy neurotransmitter. Hug your pets, your wife or your children or a friend for it produce Oxytocine which relieve your down syndrome and cancel out any stress of depression substance in your bloodstream and your body. Last but the least is to prayer to the Almighty and leave your sadness and problems with Him. You will have all the good neurotransmitter hormones coming out at the same time including Endorphin which will make you feel better physically but also you will feel relieve for He heal your pain and solve your problems.

This depends more on your personal likes. To me, thinking and being alone a while helps me clear my mind. Take a good bath and call up a trusty friend to telll them your troubles. somehow they always know what to say. Think about possitive things remember that theres a lot of people that are probably in a worse situation thhan you are and consider yourself lucky. Do things you enjoy (ex. painting, cooking, swimming) and stay away from stress. Eventually youll get back on your feet and leave worries behind

Go for a walk in the park or near a beach, mountians ect. For some reason gazing out in the distance lifts the spirits.

I try to watch comedians, or I go on youtube and watch clips of Kathy Griffin. I also pay a lot of attention to my young cat who is a little furry angel and it's hard to be down around her.

I either write in my journal, stretch and do a bit of yoga, or, and this may seem weird, take a bubble bath with lavender salts and citrus bath-wash.
