I want to be able to block some emails from seeing them at all. I would love to be able to make it bounce back at them. Does hotmail, yahoo or gamil support this or could I use mailwasher or such to bounce it back so they know they aren't getting thru ? It is people, not advertising etc,

I'm know you can make filters, in all of those programs, but I'm not sure if you can auto reply, which seems like what you would want to do. or you could probable forward messages from senders to a fake address, which might bounce and give them an error, depending on how you set it up.

Most of these mailwasher programs do not work so well. The spammers change their account addresses so fast it is pretty much useless to bounce back their messages.
Many people are setting up a second or third email account on yahoo, etc. and keeping their personal email account private. For instance, when signing up for anything on the Internet you risk spam - so use your second email account - the spam will go there and you can clean it up on occasion.
Outlook Express has the ability to block addresses (more effective for people than advertisers). Highlight the message sender - click on Message - chose block sender.

Why bother. You see many SPAMMERS use phony e-mail addresses, so you would get Undelivered messages back yourself. That would be doubling up your SPAM problem.

Consider this... when you get 1,000 SPAMS a day, you don't want it to be 2,000. Just use the BULK folder.

Consider this. The spammer loads up his e-mail machine and walks away. It will send out 1,000 emails per hour or more. That's 16 per minute, or one every 3 or 4 seconds. Many email addresses in their address book are NO GOOD, so they get many Undeliverable responses. So they simply TURN that off, or delete the LOG of failures. After a hard day's work of sending out 24 thousand e-mails, one more REJECTION is meaningless.

I have found that Yahoo e-mail is totally awesome.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
