better be yrself first,..... if she has brains, she will make it outt easyly that u r just cooking things.. wait for a special day may be b'day yrs or hers.. some diwali party or anything.. buy a small cake ... just for the 2 of u... and decorate with fresh rose.. some cakes are nt 2 be eaten.. remove the stem of the rose and put just that flower on one corner... and write on the cake .... "will u be mine" buy a cad with it...... and i think a silent place would do the magic with this... {{ atleast it did 4 me }}

Does she know of your feelings? You make it sound as if you two aren't together. If you aren't, you may want to pursue a relationship before engagement. However, if you've been together and you really do want to spend the rest of your life with her...
- Take her to a lake, beach, somewhere romantic and propose after a picnic. Be natural, be yourself.
- Remember where her favorite place is. Take her there and propose.
- Does she like rollercoasters? Right over the top of the first hill (before people start screaming) ask her, "I hope this doesn't make you too freaked out, will you marry me?"
- Take her to her favorite restaurant, cafe, or deli. If they don't have champagne there, talk with the manager about bringing a bottle a while before you guys come to have after dinner. Put the ring in her glass of champagne but make sure to toast first, so she doesn't drink the ring!
- Ask her dad for her hand before you propose (obviously not in front of her). It's a little old fashioned but he'll love you for it and think your a gentleman. If her and her father aren't on good terms, ask the man she looks to as her father, or her favorite uncle or brother.
- No matter what, make the proposal special, make it your own so she'll never forget it. Even just rolling over one lazy weekend morning and telling her she's the most gorgeous woman you've ever seen, and that if she could handle waking up to your morning breath every day, would she be willing to spend the rest of her life with you? is unique.

My wife (who is a romantic) says to take her to a restaurant. First you will need to set up with the manager & waiter to place a slip of paper with your proposal on it either in a food item - like a dosa, or idli - or under the plate (in case you dont want her to accidently eat your proposal). Then make sure that the rest of the evening is very romantic.
