While the two brands have their own versions of each type of formula, they are all pretty much equal. Still, it's best to keep a steady diet unless you absolutely have to change since you won't know how your baby's tummy will react. If you feel the need to change brands ( choosing the same " type" of formula ie:Similiac with Lipal and Infamil with Lipal) I would check it out with your doctor because you may need to introduce the change slowly . A quick change in formula can cause diarrhea or constipation.

Good luck!

Brands Of Formula

Pick one and stick to it as best you can. Really, the only difference between Enfamil and Similac is like asking what the difference is between Coke and Pepsi. But, if you switch formulas without a reason (such as switching to soy for an allergy, or to Gentilease for colicky problems) you just end up "confusing" (for lack of a better term) a tiny tummy. (And will end up changing MANY more diapers because of it!) Sometimes, having to change is unavoidable, and then you just make the best of it.

I use Kroger brand now but I switched from Walmart brand. It was less expensive. I had no problems, but I'm thinking my child has an iron stomach because she has taken well to everything I've tried, even new foods. No two children are the same so its all trial and error. Best thing you can do is mix the two together to transition when switching. But even that can upset little tummies if they're highly sensitive.

You really should just stick to the formula you've already chosen. The only reason you should ever switch is if you think your baby may be allergic to it.

well, i don't breastfeed (got my own reasons for it, so don't tell me it's wrong)......
My baby was eating Enfamil, but he sometimes couldn't go poop on his own. My doc told me to try NAN, so i change it and now he is good so far.
So i don't think it's bad, if ur baby took the formula, then u don't need to change, but if he has some problems, then u should talk to ur doctor.
