Im taking ortho tri cylcen lo. Tomorrow will be my third week into this monthes pack, I forgot 5 pills this month (at different times) and would end up taking them the next day late in the afternoon when im normally suppost to be taking them at night. Then I also was out of town for the weekend and forgot my pills, meaning i missed two in a row and have to wait until i get home to take them. I know this may sound like a stupid question, that im sure gets asked a hundred times, but how great are my chances of pregnancy now? my boyfriend and i usually have sex every other day, and he does ejaculate in me, Im concerned, because I take other medication and I smoke, which if theres a good chance I'm pregnant I plan on stopping as I wouldnt want to harm the baby. Obviouslly you cant give me a definite answer, and my best bet is to wait it out and take a test, but from personal experience and your own opinions i'd like to know what you think. Thanks so much.

Your chances of getting pregnant are pretty high, having missed this many pills. I would recommend that you find an alternative method of birth control, such as an IUD, or the Depo shot. You don't have to remember to take a pill.

I would say the chances of pregnancy are really high. This month's pills are useless at this point. If you haven't already you need to use condoms immediately.

Stop taking the pills right now. When you should start the next pack, take a preg test. If it comes back negative and you still have not gotten your period see your doctor.

From personal experience, ONE missed pill at the right time can result in pregnancy. If you were late during ovulation or missed a pill during that time you can get pregnant. BC pills work by suppressing ovulation. If you miss a pill at the height of when your body is producing hormones and stuff to start ovulation, you will ovulate...if you have sex during that time, there's a good chance of getting pregnant.

I depends on how many you have taken not how many you missed. You might want to take regular ortho tri cyclen its a higher dose, so your chance will decrease when missing them. YOur period should come on if you miss too many in a row, so I would definitely take a test soon.
