I have been seeing a black guy for about a month now and it seems to me if a white girl dates a black man, (i am not generalising here, it is not every) some black girls seem to give me the dirtiest looks i have ever been given in my life... it seems to me it really shoudn't be a problem. Why do some people seem to have a problem with it.

Has this been the case with anyone else? Or any reasoning behind this?

I almost continuously do like interacial black females formerly white females (like myself), don't understand why this is only that they are very beautiful to me, the entire interacial element inbetween females. Soo, certain i'd definately date a black woman! and that i have been livin consisting of a stunning one for a lengthy time period now:). yet ofcourse i love females, often no count number what colour and race, this is only that I do want black females. In complete opposite, I do imagine white adult men are a lot extra beautiful than interacial adult men. Which to me is rather unusual bcaues heterosexual females seems almost continuously to be extra in contact in black/interacial adult men...

I can't speak with authority about the black girls, except that they might be jealous. Your man must be quite the catch!

As far as dirty looks from others, it's the last vestiges of racism. Some people still have issues with whites and blacks getting married. Most of these people are from your parents and grandparents generation.

I long for the day when skin color will be just as inconsequential as eye color or hair color. But we're just not there yet as a society. Hopefully, we're just a generation or two away from it.

As far as dating, why do so many people refuse to consider the "content of his character, rather than the color of his skin"

Will he make a good husband?
Will he make a good father?
Does he have goals for the future?
Does he treat you well?

These are the questions that really matter.

As far as I am concerned there is only one race in this world and that is the human race. That fact that racism still exists today shocks me, but I know that it does exist and that a small segment of every race is guilty of racism. And there is no reasoning behind racism - the concept is an oxymoron. By this point in time, you would think people would be above racism. Hopefully, in the very near future, it will be just one more of those terrible things we have left behind in our past when we didn't know any better.

And if someone has a problem with your relationship, remember, it is their problem, not yours. You can't live your life trying to please other people, and as far as trying to understand some people, sometimes, it's just not worth the effort. Life is short, so enjoy it while you can.

my perception of it is a lot of black women don't have serious relationships with white guys, they want to marry black guys therefore if the white women take all the black men there will be none left for them. Basically they feel you should stick to white guys and leave the black men for them!!! It is stupid, each to there own, whatever makes you and the guy happy!!!! I dated a black guy and to be honest most of the issue was with my family but.... They weren't hateful but they don't believe in mixed race relationships!! I am very attracted to black guys, hmmm Will Smith!! Just enjoy being with each other and ignore everyone else, its jealousy. Good luck!!

Oh Yes u are so right,

I was wit a Nigerian man for 6 years and we faced a lot of problems, from both white and black

A lot of white old people wud stare and say nasty things and we also had some problems at the start of our relationship wit my parent but eventually they grew to love him

I have a lot of black girls as friends now but i have experienced alot of hatred from them too, they'd glare and look down on u, but i knew deep down they were just really jealous

So just to irritate them more, we'd kiss and cuddle and always hold hands!

Forget there opinion and enjoy your relationship

Best of Luck

I think you should just smile. I dont think many people have a problem and if they do its their problem not yours. There is no reason and it could be just your imagination truly. The mind can play tricks sometimes.
Rynald..hooray a very observant and smart man. In this troubled times with or racial unrest say it exactly like it is. It honestly seems to weigh more heavily on the white side.

To each his or her own, if everyone liked the same things, the world would be a mighty dull place.

Now, some people have already said this, but, it's true. Colored women don't like seeing white girls "stealing" their men at all. Especially knowing that most white men (I said MOST) aren't attracted to them, so it won't wind up balancing out.

Also, there's a little thing called human nature. Yeah, segregation is outlawed, etc., so on and so forth, but, even though laws change, people's minds don't change that quickly. Most folks won't come right out and say so, but, the idea that it's nasty or trashy to date outside your own is still there.

I'm not going to knock what anyone else does, so long as it doesn't affect me, really. Besides, I'm Southern enough to remember the old saying "If you haven't anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut."

As a white guy, who was seen walking with a black woman, I had the same looks from black men. Every race has those who can not or will not accept interacial relationships.

You have something that they cannot have, but that goes with any race or color....I think some people in general are not happy and have hard time finding a mate so they don't want others to find their happiness.. You learn to just go on with your life and overlook these people and don't let them hurt your relationship..
