I need to know how to find the domain. that is all i was told by the teacher

You can only take the log of positive numbers.

Take whatever is inside the log (in this case it is t-5).
Set that greater than 0.
t-5 > 0
Solve for the variable (this will be your domain).
I'll let you solve (you only need to do one step).

Tony is right. You must understand what it means. How are you going to pass your exams? take your laptop to class and connect to yahoo answers? i don't think so.

That is my advice, and since I am not your mommy, here is your answer.

f(t) = log(t-5) Domain is: 0 < x < infinity.

0 < x < infinity means x is greater than zero and less than infinity. Again, infinity is like a really really really large number.
