nappy question?

my week old baby is pooing an awfull lot, he is breastfed and feeding well and is not poorly but he is going about 10-12 times a day, it looks normal and its not always alot but is this normal?

yes totally normal especially in breastfed babies. he will stop pooping so much over the next few weeks. usually only a little bit comes out at a time and sometimes just because they fart! if its like a seeded mustard colour and texture then its normal. the sucking motion of feeding encourages bowel motions too.
Annoying when you have to change so many nappies though hey!!
