I am looking for a job in Frankfurt.

Ideally i would find a company that would train me to become an Accountant. However, i would consider other types of office work.

I have intermediate German ability so, for the next few months, would prefer an english speaking job if possible?

any ideas?

You do not state where you are from, what nationality you have.
That does make a big difference.

If you are from within the EU, you do not need (much) in paperwork.

If you are from outside the EU, it might be very hard to get it started.

In either case, look up the embassy site for Germany in your country, they have information about visa and work permits, and who needs them.

For getting a job, start job-hunting right away, at first to see what is available and what kind of pay to expect.
Google on Frankfurt and work, job, secretary, accountant and so on, (in different combinations) and also try to find English/American companies that work in/out of Frankfurt and contact them to see if they would hire you.
If you are able to get into an accountancy office right away that might give you a head start, but check for restrictions and career move possibilities.

It does also not hurt to contact job-offices, short term employment agencies and such, as they often place people in your situation.
Being fluent in English (with the right 'accent') does help.
