I can fake cry pretty well. If you cant see my face and the fact that there are no tears then I can be very convincing. Tears requires a few minutes of dwelling on sad thoughts but, I can do that too. A girl's gotta cry sometimes.

Yes, actresses do it all the time, if the movie, play, or whatever, calls for it. If a young actress says she can't cry on demand, an older one is brought in to show her how, and it always works.
