Lovely name!( It's mine!) I use Mia normally and my mum calls me Mi-Ma( a pet name) My husband calls me Mar-Mar ( in private) As a young child I sometimes got called Mami. As I got into High School it changed to Marii( notice its spelt with 2 i's, not Marie) Now, as an 25 year old Mum of one I like Mia.

well both goes well with how our tongues are taught to speak (in disyllabic proportions). plus, the name itself is cute :)

my sister's middle name is maria and when we call her by her middle name we call her ria, mia (mostly), and marie.
