one hundred and one
one thousand

in one thousand the a appears first- but in normal consecutive order would mean 101 as this comes before 1000(numerically). (perhaps- or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about)!

The word 'and' does NOT occur in the word one hundred one. No and. And is used to designate a decimal when speaking money number.

$101.10 is One hundred one dollars AND ten cents.

4, 444 is four thousand, four hundred, forty-four
