This whole thing has been about money since day one. It was never about Madeleine which explains why she is still missing.

I'm still trying to figure this out. Do they now have TWO funds. One to help find Maddy and one to help their legal costs? I presume the find Maddy fund is the one that is helping to support them while they are not working, funding their travel expenses and accommodation costs and their day to day living expenses now they are back in UK etc.
But why the legal fund? They've not been charged with anything. Now that they are back in the UK are they not entitled to legal aid if they are that hard up? It seems to me that the 'legal fund' is actually completely unnecessary and that it is more like a 'PR' fund. They have hired a top legal team - what is this team actually doing? And why choose the most expensive and well-known legal people? I know if I was being charged with something, I would want someone who was competent, but I would also keep in mind that it was someone else's money I was using and try to be sensible about it.
If they were to be charged sometime in the future then by all means, start hiring your lawyers then, but why waste thousands of someone else's money when a legal team might never be needed.

Its sick they they are getting all this help from rich people, no one knows either way if they are guilty or not so its best to stay away from them, they are on over 100k each as doctors per year so they can well afford their own legal bills, whereas a poor person, as we have seen from past cases would get hardly any coverage if their child went missing and little or no financial help, what about all those women that were falsely jailed for killing their own babies, they were left to fight it out on their own financially, no stars were out supporting them, I certainly wouldn't help the McCann's out financially, its pathetic, poor Maddy, they love the limelight while she could be going through hell or she could be dead due to their selfishness, its over the top to say the least how they pose for the cameras etc, as it was their negligence in th first place that led to her disappearance, how do they even contemplate writing blogs and posing for the media????????

Obviously they will accept this money only on the understanding that it is put straight in to the FindMadeleine fund, any good parent would do the same.
Oh, you mean it's going in to their legal expense fund? Hmmmm, how strange.
Surely any miscarriage of justice that might happen in this case will be solely due to the huge financial backging of the suspects.
I don't know about 'Leave no stone unturned', but it appears to me that something has crawled out from under one.
**Helen M - that's why we have legal aid.

Well they apparently just spent 80k, although I haven't seen anything new in the search. But I guess they need to top up the coffers. They're pathetic. Why don't the millionaires help someone like the guy who lost all 4 of his kids in a real accident, I don't see them stepping up to the plate for him. But he doesn't have a PR team.

They are now in the unfortunate position of having to hire lawyers and they don't come for free, so if some millionaire wants to support them they probably are not in a financial position to turn it down. Neither of them has been at work for months and who out there would be able to pay for legal advice if they hadn't been earning for so long. They also have to support two other children.

It still amazes me how these people seem to think it is normal to abandon your children whilst you go out partying. There is a pub 50 yards away from me - maybe I can start leaving the kids and going out without the social services bothering.

Millionaires are intelligent people, they know the power of envy and what it can do to Innocent people. The Yahoo Answers losers brigade have helped to awake the sleeping giants who want justice, so scurry back into your holes while you can
