Prior to the bombing of the Syrian nuclear facility Israeli commandos launched a secret raid on the facility in which they seized nuclear material and the proof that it came from North Korea. Then they brought it to President Bush and received his blessing on the bombing mission. An excellent job by all who were involved. Wouldn't it be fitting if exactly the same thing happened to Iran while their little president was visiting in NY? I'd love to see the look on his face when he was told about it.

The Israeli Government is know for its first strike ability. If this report is right, I feel that they did the only thing they could do. There is no winner in a Nuclear War, only losers. The constant expanding of the nuclear weapons capable nations is the biggest threat to the world today. The appeasers believe we must have dialog. The environmentalists believe it is global warming and the ozone layer. The politicians of the world believe in which way the wind blows for their policy. The children of the world either play their video games or are starving. I could go on, but all I have is one more point. War, any kind of war, is terrible. The bigger the spread of nuclear weapons the more dangerous a place the Earth is.

Yeah. It would be cool if it was while he was sitting waiting to be called to the podium at Columbia and an aid comes and tells him that we blew up his nuclear site. Then comes back a little bit later to say we blew up his nuclear site AND his missles pointed.
The only topper would be that he would be booed off the state by people who also shouted down the minute men.
People like this nut job feel empowered when America lets him in and allows him to talk. He sees the American government does not have the support of all of its people and uses this.
Columbia should be ashamed of itself.

Yes...the Israeli's have one big advantage in dealing with these issues...they do not have the likes of little Harry Reid or Turbin Dick Durbin questioning there every move and supporting their enemies by demoralizing the troops in harms way.

As for Ahmadinejads visit to the US...a minor problem that a team of Marine snipers could not solve.

Great question and I agree, the Israelis rock!

Israel alone does the right thing. Syria funds and supports terrorist organisation Hizbollah, and Hizbollah repeatedly attacks Israel.

Israel knows she must look after her citizens, because history teaches us that if we Jews don't take care of our own, not many others are going to.

Sad, but true.

Yes. Yes they did. And the world is grateful. Including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.

it is amazing how much the american right can control the language of debate and issues.

palestinians are "terrorists." they kill people for political ideology, therefore they are terrorists. makes sense, i suppose. personally i feel "terrorism" is a thought crime, but whatever. killing people is bad.

however, israelis are "commandos." they do roughly the same amount of stuff as the palestinian "terrorists" do (but more efficiently as they have better resources, namely, the united states government) but somehow they are "commandos." they are rambo. arnold schwarzenegger. standing up for what is right.

you can see it all the time. the iraqi "surge" was an "escalation." when LBJ escalated in vietnam he told everyone it would be temporary too. "escalation" has such a negative connotation though, doesn't it? reminds you of jungles, helicopters, unwinnable wars...

with the right-wing controlling the language so thoroughly and completely, the left-wing is at a very severe disadvantage.

that is why we need to take the language back if the left is going to get anywhere in this country. it starts with the media. the media are the ones that propagate the conservative language.

how to do that? end corporate news.

If that's all it takes then why weren't these commandos sent into Iraq before the war began?
