I have this thick white vaginal discharge and it has been going on consistently for almost a year now. I have gone to the doctor about 2 or 3 times about this. I have had three pap smears and a biopsy done on me. You would think as common as these symtoms sound they would know. But all the tests done on me we're negative. They gave me presciption medicine and cream for a yeast infection. I took it and it didn't go away. Now a year ago I started having sex and about three months into that that's when the symtoms started showing. Doctors said it could be irritation to latex,So as bad as I didn't want to..my partner and I quit using condoms for a while and It didn't seem to solve the problem. And she had also said It could just be hormonal and that it would eventually go away. Now I figured that was probably what it was at first, but come on now.. it's been a little while over a year now. Can a something hormonal last this long!? what I would really like is a diagnosis and a treatment.

you might try this. It cures yeast infections and doesn't hurt at all.

Take a large garlic clove peeled (put a thread through it if disired but not necessary and knot it like a tampon string and insert vaginally.

To increase effectiveness, put some small cuts in the clove although this may slightly sting.

This always worked for me if I had a yeast infection and was reluctant to take medical drugs or creams.

If you suspect it is hormonal, take a natural progesterone cream available at the health food store.

You might try Dr Richard Schulze's female formula and/or female balance formula

Also get checked at a VD clinic to be sure it is not that. some of the health departments have these.

OF COURSE THE DOCTORS WON'T HELP YOU! To tell you would then lead you down the path of not needing them and their silly drugs.

The white sticky discharge is simple the condition of the muscus your uterus produces every day.

The thick white and sometimes pinkish, tacky mucus is when you are NOT ovulating. The mucus changes consistency when you ARE ovulating to thin, stretchy and often clear - this helps the sperm to get to the egg faster because sperm has a very short life span.

You will always know when you are ovulating by paying attention to the changes in the mucus. This is THE BEST natural birth control going. The Australians took note of it in the 1960s and have some of the best publications about it. I suggest you read about the Mucus Method - do an online search, followed up with reading the books. It is your body after all, and your responsibility to look after it and to know it.

stop with the medicine... your "flora" is off balanced in your vagina... you need to change your diet stop drinking pop drink more water.. if you really want it to go away... also get some colon cleansers... I know it sounds gross yes, but compacted waste causes all kinds of problems... white discharge is usally what happens when you are prego... but since it's been going on for a year, it sounds like maybe the enviorment of you vagina is unstable stop douching ... if you do nothing else stop douching and using tampons... you are introducing more bacteria when you do these things... drink more water stop puttings up there for about a month.... and see if the thickness doesn't thin out.... also try a colon cleanser...NOT A LAXATIVE a cleanser...

be safe...

get an std test. climydia can go on for years asymptomatic and then one day you're sterile. most guys don't know they have it when they pass it on so he'll need to be treated too if you show positive. it could be hormonal. you don't say how old you are. birth control pills might help then as they help regulate hormones but that doesn't sound right. get a second opinion from a ob/gyn that has been around for awhile. sounds like something simple but i can['t put my finger on it and an older doc will recognize it right off the bat.

Hi,

It's quite possible that there is a hormonal imbalance causing the discharge. If you're open to alternative means, I suggest you try taking natural polysaccharides (from goji berry plant) to correct your immune system. The juice is all natural, no overdose, and no side effects! A lot of my relatives and friends started drinking this juice for its broad spectrum activity.

Hope this could help you!

Sometimes hormonal problems can cause symptoms like this that can go on undetected for a year or longer but this sounds more like something else is going on so would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently use.

R U RETARTED?! your not using a condom?! that's just stupid. think about it... not using a condom can result to way worse things then a vaginal discharge! like pregnancy, std, etc. always use a condom. and in the meantime, go c a different doctor or look on line.
good luck!

See a different gyno! Also try a medicated douche. I know you may get some lame answers on this, but that's my opinion. Most definitely see a better gyno. Also, try non latex condoms!!!!
