Trimmed or shaved? Some people say after the first few shaves it goes away, others say it always continues from re-growth. I haven't heard of this happening with trimming before (unless you did it really really short) but I would say it would probably stop in a little while when you get used to it, or in a few days when the hair starts growing back. This is why a lot of people (myself included) rarely shave down there. You could try putting a cream/moisturiser on it to soothe it (might get all yucky if there's still hair though) or perhaps try different underwear if the ones you are wearing aren't helping the irritation.

Yes it is normal especially the first time, especially if someone is shaving it (where this applies). It will go away in a few days but try applying something like baby lotion to give moisture back to the area. That should help ease some of your itching problem.

no one should see your pubic hair at 14. stop trimming it. it will itch. leave it alone.
