Hi, my name's Marco and i live in Lecco, near Milan (ITALY). I and my girlfriend wish live in Sydney becouse the cost of living in Italy is very high. My girlfriend have in Australia 230 relatives and they say: Australia is wonderful. I'am a cook and my girlfriend bachelor sciences of the tourism. Both have 24 years. In Italy I moneis for cook are 1300 euro, in New South Wales how much earns more or less a cook. How much coast an apartment in rent? The gas, the benzine, the telephone, the water? But is succeeded well in living with 2 medium wages in one house? Thanks to all those that will help me.

Have a look at the classified advertisements in the Sydney Morning Herald on a Saturday http://www.smh.com.au You will be able to look at jobs and wages that are available and see the range of prices for apartments (called flats or units). Petrol is about $1.30 a litre. There is no charge for water with rented properties, that is included in the rent. In an all-electric house/flat I would allow $100 a month for electricity.

If you and your girlfriend have qualifications in your jobs your wages can very depending on where you get employment.Electricity and gas bills are not that expensive.Rents can be quite high if you are in the beach areas.Between 2 good wages you could afford to live in Sydney quite comfortably.Even better if you have relatives here.Good luck.
