My fiance and I have been going back and forth on baby names. Finally tonight I told him to pick a boys name without me saying anything, and I'd pick one. We did the same for girls but it didn't work out so well.
I'm a diehard Harry Potter fan so I urged to put some characters names into our childrens names.

For his choices:
He chose Dracen Leon Voss for a boy
For a girl he chose Lucia Kaylin Voss

For my choices:
A boy -- Sirius Morgen Voss [[That's where Harry Potter comes in!]]
And for a girl I chose Lydia Nymphadora Voss [[Harry Potter again!]]

He's really against Nymphadora, but says he'll allow it if I want it really bad.
But I'm not too sure, so does anyone out there have a better middle name for Lydia Voss?
It doesn't have to be Harry Potter related but as the answers come in, I'll be looking through books that I love for the answer!

Thanks!

How about Lydia Elyse Voss? It was my daughter's middle name and I always loved it. She is in heaven now and could be your little one's guardian angel. Who knows? Good luck with your sweet little one!!!

Oh dear you two are in a pickle!

Don't like his boy choice of Dracen but Leon is okay
His girl choice is lovely and sorry, heaps better than yours!
What were you thinking with Nymphadora??? lol!
Sirius is dreadful but morgen is okay.

I think you should go with Lucia Kaylin or possibly Lydia Kaylin for a girl
and try Leon Morgen Voss or start again with the boys names.
I like Lucas or Louis which could be Leon and Sirius together. Louis Morgen Voss / Lucas Morgen Voss ????

Best of luck

Sorry but I'm with him on the name choices.

Nymphadora is just wrong and the name of a character is harry potter is where it should stay.

however I do like Lydia Kaylin Voss.

Nymphadora? Yeech. Lydia is a pretty name, and if you like Harry Potter that much, have you thought of using the name of his friend, Hermione? Lydia Hermione sounds good. Hermione means,I think, Eloquence. It will be a name any little girl will be proud to have. As for the boys names I would suggest instead of Sirius, the dog star, how about Nathan or Jonathan or Connor. The name Sirius sounds too much like serious,I can just hear the other kids teasing your son,if you have one,by saying "Are you Sirius? " Get it ? Well, Good luck. : )

Nymphadora is awful & hidious... not to be rude at all, but just think about it....
Harry Potter is YOUR obsession, not hers. She will be forced to live her entire life with this as her name. That is not right. If you are die hard on naming her after harry potter charactors try to stick to the low key names.

What if your mom was obsessed with Star Wars & named you "Jane" Chewbacca Voss... see my point?

Please don't use the nympwhatever name. That would be so mean! What about some non Harry Potter names?

My mom was supposed to name me Lydia Rose (after my father's mom); however, my mom and dad split before I was born and she named me Jenni after my Aunt Genesis.

So Lydia Rose is an option ... or my personal favorite middle name is Jane ... Lydia Jane

There is a reason the character whose name is "nymphadora" hates Nymphadora! She goes by "Tonks" instead.

I'm partial to Hermione myself, but if you like Tonks as a character, than maybe "Tonks" is an accaptable name?

Stay clear of Nymphadora, though.

Ginny is a good girls name too, or perhaps a more formal name you can informalize to Ginny?

Lydia Rose
or
Lydia Hermione

You can't have Nymphadora - no one can spell or pronounce it. It also sounds like nympho

Lydia is a really pretty name
Good luck
