if you mean that wall is your shelter or that wall is a defense for you. what "I" mean is that i dont like to let anyone in. maybe that makes more sense. it is hard to trust. it seems the more open or the more you let people into your world you become weary of their ultimate means. the trust factors have to be learned not given, but accepted. to trust then to have a person turn around to make you lose your trust in them; well that is the wall that should have stood and been stablized. you trust a person for a reason(s). what do you have when you trusted someone with your heart and they threw it all away? when the trust is gone, broken,boldered-its damaging as ever! not only the wall per say but a person with a tender heart has his/her broken unrepairability. and how do you get over that?? so to you i say, from my personal experience, for me, it is hard to trust and am sure i surround myself with walls all the time. it is to protect me. when trust is lost its hurtful and oh so very hard to trust ever again or to try to accpect" why?" there are no word to even express such a broken heart.....

yes....whether its a good or bad thing i guess it depends in whos eyes, but trust is the main reason my walls are built. there are far and few that you can truly trust, and even then...you still should keep some things to yourself. i respect privacy. it drives me nuts when people blab their life story to anyone who will sit there long enough to listen to their pity fest.
also, the people who can't keep their mouth closed about anything, gossiping about everybody, wouldnt be the best candidate to share all the juicy details to.
its unfortunate how many people backstab and get stabbed in the back, bc on the fact they had no guard. instead of calling it a wall, i would consider it just being aware of my reactions, tact, and my surroundings. to me, trusting before knowing is somewhat naive that can often lead to things like people getting taken advantage and feelings of resent.

I do because as soon as i let the wall down my heart opens more and then people take advantage and i always get hurt,so i have to put this wall up so people don't can't get to know me and i can't open my heart to them. sounds sad. but i still have love for people just I'm a on a guard.

At one time I did and it was lonely and scarey. I felt like a prisoner within myself. I have since broke down that wall and I am much happier and and much more in tune with myself and all around me.

No, I never needed to. But that's what people usually think about me...Being even slightly different, sellective and formal, makes others think that you are difficult to approach and understand, even be afraid of you.
But I wouldn't ever cross back the boarderline....
