Masiela Lusha, played George's daughter Carmen in the show's first five seasons.
George Lopez said that due to creative differences between him and Lusha, Lusha's character was written out of the show after Season 5. Lusha did appear in the 2007 season premiere, when her character left to attend a college in another state.

She graduated high school when she was 15 and went to UCLA... she's Albanian descent and not Mexican-American, but considering Lopez and Bullock had the final say, it wasn't an issue for 5 years.

I don't know, but I think that maybe she just got to pretty and that made her a rivel forthe other women on the show so out she went. I stopped watching to show after she left.

yes I think they did cancel it because now it comes on at nick at nite it is a really funny show
