Horoscopes come from waaaayyyy back in the day when people had no idea what stars were and figured their glow meant something magical.
The idea behind a horoscope is that the circular path the sun makes across the earth during a full year is important. The particular star constellations behind the sun form this sort of circular belt of constellations we call the zodiac. What is supposed to happen is that the particular constellation behind the sun during the day you were born determines your fortune and fate because somehow that star grouping shines it's power through the sun and affects you're newly born crying naked body.
Here is the funny part....since the horoscope was first created over a thousand years ago our planet has shifted...so the zodiac or particular constellation that is behind the sun today is about one and a half zodiac signs off from when it was first created...and we still use the old calendar to tell us our fortune.
Simply put, the news papers say I'm a Leo, but really I'm a virgo or the one after. So don't even worry about your zodiac sign...you're not even what you figured you were, and you were believing it the whole time.
