Heyy,
Sometimes people can make you feel really uncomfortable in these situations. I always carry my phone on me and if i see something that looks like it could put me in a bad situation I...

1) Get my phone out and pretend that its my Mum.
2) Try to turn the other way, although sometimes this looks weird.
3) Look either down or away, and i know you did this but yeah.

Another important thing with this situation is to not look into it too much. "Do you want to dance?" might have meant something else but to be honest, i doubt it.
Although i don't know what random would want to dance with someone on the street.....
anyway just chill out.
Give your self a nice relaxing bubble bath and chill out about the whole situation. You don't have to never go out by yourself again. You just have to be prepared for something like some sleazy guy to look at you and go DAMN SHE'S HOTT!

haha
you did nothing wrong either.
It's not like you put yourself out there so that all the guys would look at you.
You were just walking down the street.

So yeah.
I hope my advice was okay.
And that you understand that your not the only one out there who gets freaked out by these things.
Coz i do too.

Good luck,
x

If possible dont walk by them, or make sure you always have a friend with you. Have your mom buy you some mase or pepper spray. Next time you have to walk by yourself have it in your hand where the guys can see it. If you have anymore problems out of them call the cops go to the nearest pay phone or home phone. Tell the cops that you are very scared of them. Let them know everything that happened. If you are scared the guy(s) may do something if you call the cops be sure to tell them this too. I know what you mean about a small town. There are 525 people where I live! We have one part time cop! Good luck and be careful

People are just palin jerky sometimes. They try to exert themselves over others just to feel strong. Don't let it bother you. It happens to most girls, even the ones who aren't "asking" for it. Just play it off, or ignore them. I've found that and eyeroll and a confident strut is usually enough to shut 'em up. Honestly, though, don't try to look like the hurt little kitten. It makes you seen like easy prey, and that's exactly what people like that pick on. Look confident.

And if it'll make you feel better, carry some pepper spray and a cell phone. I live in a big city, and I'm always feeling threatened by guys hollaring at me, but I play it confident and let it roll off my back. I have my cell in one hand and always make sure I know what street I'm on, in case I need to call the police for any reason.

One more thing, you seem like a smart girl. Just to be sure though, never go with anybody you don't know. And if somebody approaches you in a car, don't go anywhere near it, and don't talk to the person in the car.

I'm so sorry that you feel this way. I'm sure that you hear about girls getting raped in similar ways that you thought it was going to happen to you too. Which is why you're frightened. There are guys that are real jerks and it sounded like he wanted to just scare you. He just saw a young girl walking minding her business and decided to play around and scare her. Which is really wrong of him to do. However, just don't walk that side anymore or try to find another way around to get home. Also, if you have to walk with someone else like your mom or with a friend. Take care and i hope you feel better...

You should really tell your mom how worried you feel about the situation. Don't be all stressed out about it. Tell your mom how uncomfortable you feel with people talking like that to you. And don't walk over there anymore by yourself, make sure you are always with someone. Best of luck to you. Don't worry you will be alright. Things could be worst. You are lucky they didn't touch you. Just be more careful and talk to your mom about it. Everything will be alright. Im sure. Things more worst than that has happened to me. I know how you feel :)

Bless your heart! I remember having older guys saying stuff like that when I was in Jr High school. It made me so mad and I remember feeling violated by these older guys. My advice to you is to ignore them and talk to your mom some more about it. You have the right to report this to the police also. Just tell your mom to call them, or you could even call them yourself. Just call the non emergency police number (not 911) and tell them that you want to file a report. There might even be a female police officer that you could talk to if that would make you feel more comfortable. Also, I would suggest taking down the license plate # of the car the guys are always by, so the police can go and talk to them. Dont be afraid of these guys, but stand your guard and DO NOT go near them by yourself! Chances are the guys are just trying to get a reaction out of you. If you respond to them, they will likely keep saying things to you. Guys like this are not likely to try to hurt you physically...they are just trying to stir you up and make you mad.

You need to take some self defense classes. They will teach you how to carry yourself so you won't look like a victim. They will also give you a sense of power. Acting fearful, looking at the ground etc only gives bad guys a clue as to your vulnerability.

Dress modestly (it sounds as if you were). Hold your head up, look them in the eye and tell them to back off. If they touch or come near you, scream and run. They will get the hint. If not, scratch their eyes, kick them in the groin, slam your foot into their instep and slam your fists up into their noses! Do whatever it takes to protect yourself!

this guy once invited me back to his house and i was so freaked out so i know how you feel.
i say dont let it bother you too much, it might have been a joke or something.
but if you're really scared make sure you're with someone and since its a small town maybe you can tell the whole town about them and they wont bother you (although that may not work)

i totally understand why you are scared i get scared when a strange guy is in the same isle as me at walmart.in todays world you cant really go anywhere by yourself and not be frightened(esp if your a teen female it seems like).
try not going anywere by yourself like the store walks ect. do you have a cell phone? i always thought it was ridiculous for a young teen (under 15) to have a cell but they just found a girl in MO bc of her cell phone pings.make sure you let your parents friends ect kno where your going and were you are at all times...
im sure you are going to be fine babe!

Sounds like your over reacting... Guys do that sort of stuff when they are bored... He never intended to hurt you or scare you (at least not scare you this much)... He just wanted to have a bit of fun and figured it'd be good for some laughs...
