Again the phone is a LG CU500. I love this phone. Ive been trying for a while to unlock it but everybody only takes paypal. Which I dont have. Cingular will not give me the code and Im out of ideas. If anybody can help that would be great. Thank you for your time.

I tried to unlock an LG cingular phone, even paid for one of those unlock things, and the codes i was given didn't include LG phones. I've talked to friends that work at various cellphone places and they've all said LGs are unlockable. I hope someone can help you, cause I was out of luck.

1 Insert non-Cingular SIM card
2 Power on the handset
- phone will display "Invalid SmartChip"
3 In Idle screen, enter 159753#*#
- phone will display "Enter NCK, Remaining 5"
4 Enter the 8 digit SIM Unlock code
5 Select "OK"
- the handset is now successfully unlocked
